Theater free of the human yardstick, performed in museums

“Eraser Mountain,” the resulting theatrical work, debuted in October 2019, and was followed by “Eraser Forest,” which is rooted in the same concept but is going to be staged in museum exhibition rooms.
The artist Teppei Kaneuji, who is collaborating in the piece, has objects occupy the museum as, in his words, “an institution and space prepared over a long period of time and through the ideation of many people.” While
engaging with the “fake boundaries completely different from existing ones” made by Kaneuji, the
work is installed with the chelfitsch performance that takes a novel look at the ties between human
beings and things, and EIZO-Theater.
Also incorporating new approaches to the bodies and speech of the actors, the new work presents a vision of what lies ahead after taking leave of anthropocentrism, in a multi-stratified time and space.
